ZENDAYA
Raquel "Rocky" Blue

Zendaya stars as the generous, funny, overachiever Raquel "Rocky" Blue, one half of the comedic duo of young dancers trying to dance her way to stardom, in the new Disney Channel series "Shake It Up."

Born September 1, 1996, in Oakland, California, Zendaya grew up as part of the nearby California Shakespeare Theater in Orinda, where her mother works as the House Manager. In addition to training at the theater's student conservatory program, and later performing in numerous stage productions, Zendaya helped her mom seat patrons and sell raffle tickets to benefit the theater.

While attending the Oakland School for the Arts, she starred as a young Ti Moune in "Once on This Island" at the Berkley Playhouse and the breakout role of the male character Joe in "Caroline, or Change" at Palo Alto's TheaterWorks. She also studied her craft at the CalShakes Conservatory program and at the American Conservatory Theater. Her other stage credits include "Richard III," "Twelfth Night," "As You Like It," among others.

Zendaya, which means "to give thanks" in Shona (a Bantu language native to the Shona people of Zimbabwe), was a fashion model for Macy's, Mervyns and Old Navy. She was also one of the back-up dancers in a Sears commercial featuring Disney Channel star Selena Gomez.

Zendaya now resides in Los Angeles, California with her family and dog, a Giant Schnauzer named Midnight. Her interests include singing, dancing and clothes designing.

BELLA THORNE
"CeCe Jones"

Bella Thorne stars as the fashionable, adventurous, aspiring dancer CeCe Jones, one half of the comedic duo of young dancers trying to dance her way to stardom, in the new Disney Channel series "Shake It Up."

A three-time nominee and 2009 winner of a Young Artists Award, Thorne had a recurring role on HBO's hit drama "Big Love" playing Bill Paxton’s free-spirited daughter Tancy (Teenie) Henrickson. Her other television credits include the role of Christian Slater's daughter on NBC's "My Own Worst Enemy," Billy Baldwin's daughter on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" and Cheryl Hines' daughter on "In The Motherhood." She guest-starred on Disney Channel's Emmy-winning comedy series "Wizards of Waverly Place," "Entourage," "Little Monk," "October Road" and "The O.C."

On the big screen, Thorne starred in the psychological thriller "Forget Me Not" and in the yet to be released coming-of-age story "Raspberry Magic."

She is also the voice of one of the young Ant Kids in "Ant Bully," the video game based on the box-office hit "The Ant Bully."

Thorne has appeared in more than 60 commercials worldwide and was the youngest ever spokesperson for Texas Instruments. She was also featured in hundreds of national and international print advertising campaigns and editorial fashion spreads.

Born October 8, 1997 in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Thorne is the youngest of four siblings, who are all actors. Thorne is an avid supporter of The Nomad Organization which provides education, food and medical supplies to children in Africa; the Humane Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Her interests include dancing, playing soccer, spending time with her family and playing with her two dogs (Cocker Spaniel and wolf-hybrid).

ADAM IRIGOYEN
"Deuce Martinez"

Adam Irigoyen plays Deuce Martinez, Rocky and CeCe's confident, resourceful and irrepressible neighbor, a long time friend who helps navigate all kinds of fun adventures, in the Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

Irigoyen began his acting career at the age of 11. He appeared in multiple commercials and print campaigns before guest-starring on Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning series "Wizards of Waverly Place," which eventually led him to audition for and land the role on "Shake It Up."

Born August 5, 1997 in Miami, Florida, Irigoyen loves all sports, particularly basketball, for which his team won the county championship. He also loves to dance (hip-hop is his favorite style). Irigoyen resides in Southern California with his mom Annie, a school teacher, father Eric, also an educator, and his younger brother Jake.

DAVIS CLEVELAND
"Flynn Jones"

Davis Cleveland plays Flynn Jones, CeCe's precocious younger brother, who has a great sense of adventure, is mature for his age, and is mischievous by nature, in the Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

The talented young actor has guest-starred in a slew of hit television shows including "Hannah Montana," "Desperate Housewives," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Ghost Whisperer." In 2009, he starred in the FOX comedy pilot "Sons of Tuscon."

Clevland discovered that he had a passion for acting after doing commercial work in Texas. Once he moved to Los Angeles, he appeared in spots for McDonalds, Nissan, Kmart, Nintendo, Microsoft and Honey Baked Ham.

Cleveland was born February 5, 2002, in Houston, Texas. He is a great fan of video games, skateboarding and rollerblading. He also enjoys martial arts, and playing guitar.

KENTON DUTY
"Gunther"

Kenton Duty plays a broad sitcom character named Gunther, a unique, theatrical and ambitious dancer from a fictional country. His taste in attire is loud and catchy and celebrates his love of performing. He and his twin sister Tinka, are Rocky and CeCe's "frenemies" in the Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

Duty was most recently seen as the young Jacob in ABC's hit series "Lost." His other television credits include a guest-starring role on "Cold Case," a starring role in the Lifetime television movie "Christmas in Paradise," appearances on both "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Jay Leno Show" in multiple skits, and a starring role as Young Ben in NBC's comedy web series "Ctrl," among others.

On the big screen, Duty appeared as Jeanne Tripplehorn's son in the Tim Allen-directed feature film "Crazy on the Outside." In addition, Kenton had a supporting role in the overseas hit motion picture, "My Name is Kahn."

A busy commercial and voice-over actor, Duty has appeared in numerous national commercials for McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Pizza Hut and Mattel.

Born May 12, 1995 in Los Angeles, Duty enjoys playing sports including basketball, baseball, football and golf, and singing, playing guitar and songwriting. He is a budding epicurean who loves to cook for his friends and family.

ROSHON FEGAN
"Ty Blue"

Roshon Fegan plays Ty Blue, Rocky's hip, sarcastic older brother, who is popular at school, loves to dance, and knows how to charm the girls, in the Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

Fegan also reprises his role as Sander in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," the sequel to "Camp Rock," which was the number one entertainment telecast on cable TV in 2008.

Fegan, whose birthday is October 6, 1991, was born and raised in Los Angeles, the son of Roy Fegan, a well known television actor. He trained at the BK Acting Studio and USC 32nd Street Performing Arts and has had guest-starring roles on several television series including "Monk." His feature film credits include "Spiderman 2" and "Drillbit Taylor."

In his free time, Fegan is finishing his first self produced album under his own label, "3inaRo Entertainment." He has a passion for dance, acting and music. A drummer since the age of two, he has also learned to play piano, guitar, sing and write his own songs.

CAROLINE SUNSHINE 
"Tinka"

Caroline Sunshine plays Tinka, a unique, theatrical and particularly ambitious dancer from a fictional country. Her taste in attire is loud and catchy and celebrates her love of performing. She and her twin brother Gunther, are Rocky and CeCe's "frenemies" in the Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

Sunshine got her start in the business at the age of three, when she performed in a ballet recital and fell in love with the stage. In kindergarten, she played Goldie Locks in her classroom play, and only recently pursued acting professionally.

Her first role was on the big screen this summer, playing Barbara Winslow in 20th Century Fox's "Marmaduke" starring Owen Wilson. Her other credits include the CBS pilot "Team Spitz" with Rob Riggle.

Her stage credits include "Annie Warbucks" at the Orange County Children's Theatre, "Nutcracker" at the Academy of Dance and South Coast Performing Arts, and "Stage Door" at Lutheran High School in Orange County.

Her commercial credits include "Amazing Allyson," "Yoplait Go-GURT," and "Cap'n Crunch."

Born September 5, in Atlanta, Georgia, Sunshine enjoys dancing, travelling, baking, and outdoor activities including snorkeling and rafting. Currently, Sunshine resides in Orange County, California with her dad Thom, her mother Karen, and her two younger brothers Johnny and Chris.

R. BRANDON JOHNSON
"Gary Wilde"

R. Brandon Johnson plays Gary Wilde, the host of the most popular teen dance show "Shake It Up, Chicago!" in the new Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up."

His feature film credits include "The Notorious Bettie Page" starring Gretchen Mol, the comedy "Rick" starring Bill Pullman and lead roles in the horror films "Malevolence" and "Little Erin Merryweather," which was an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival.

On the small screen, Johnson got his first big break playing the recurring character Dr. Michael McBain on the ABC Daytime series "One Life To Live." A few years later, he played another recurring character, Chuck Wilson III on the same show. . He also appeared as the quirky red carpet host, Brian Winters, in multiple episodes of the Disney Channel Original series "Hannah Montana."

Johnson has been featured in dozens of commercials including Nokia's "20Lives" campaign, in which he created the character of Phil Blitz. The campaign aired in 21 countries ithroughout Europe, in various languages.

Johnson has many credits as a television host. He first broke onto the scene as the host of the entertainment show "Cool In Your Code," which was shot entirely on the streets of New York City and was nominated for 18 New York Emmy Awards and won 4. He was also the host of HGTV's "Get Out, Way Out!," FOX Soccer Channel's "Fox Soccer USA," G4TV's "Formula D" and Outdoor Life Network's "Rally America." Currently, he can be seen as one of the hosts of USA Networks' dream-fulfillment series "Character Fantasy."

Born in Bloomington, Minnesota, Johnson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums in several touring rock bands.

 

CHRIS THOMPSON,Creator & Executive Producer

Veteran Producer Chris Thompson is the creator and executive producer of Disney Channel's new dance-driven sitcom "Shake It Up."

Born in Detroit, and raised in Los Angeles, Thompson began his career at the age of 23, when he was approached by a producer who was impressed by his improv performance at Off the Wall theater in Los Angeles. Thompson thought this was his big acting break, but it was really the start of his prolific writing and producing career (the producer offered him an apprentice writing position on the series "Sirota's Court").

Soon after, he was introduced to producer Garry Marshall and worked as a writer on "Blansky's Beauties" starring Nancy Walker and Scott Baio, followed by "Laverne and Shirley," where he worked as a wriiter, and later as an executive producer, for seven years. Thompson went on to create the buddy comedy "Bosom Buddies" for Paramount Studios. His other writing and producing credits include "The Naked Truth," "Action," "Ladies Man," "The Larry Sanders Show," "House Rules," "Hard Knocks" and over 30 pilots for various networks and studios.

Currently, Thompson lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Curran, his dog, Roscoe and his cat, Ichi.

ROB LOTTERSTEIN, Executive Producer

Rob Lotterstein is the executive producer of Disney Channel's new dance-driven sitcom "Shake It Up."

A native of Roslyn, New York, Lotterstein began his career writing commercials and ads before landing his first writing job on HBO's Emmy Award Winning show "Dream On."

Lotterstein was the creator and executive producer of "The War At Home" for which he was nominated for a GLAAD Award as well as The Humanitas Prize. Other shows he's written for include Darren Star's "Grosse Pointe," "Suddenly Susan," "Ellen," and "Will and Grace."

Lotterstein graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in marketing and went on to earn a masters degree in advertising from Northwestern University. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles with his partner, Phil Oster.

ROSERO McCOY, Choreographer

Rosero McCoy, one of the most versatile and well-rounded choreographers in the entertainment industry is the choreographer on the dance-driven Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up." His approach to TV, film, live stage, music videos and commercial projects is to create fresh, innovative yet timeless dance numbers spanning all styles of dance.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, McCoy first discovered his passion for dance when performing in front of his seventh grade class. Never feeling like he fit in, McCoy shined as a performer and relished the excitement of performing before an audience. McCoy attended John O'Connell High School of Technology in San Francisco with the intent of becoming a mechanic until he realized that dance performance could become his future. While in school, he continued to embrace and expand his love and appreciation of dance, frequenting dance clubs and classes as often as possible.

In 1990, McCoy relocated to Los Angeles, honed his technical training in choreography and got his start in the entertainment industry, dancing and choreographing for Usher, Celine Dion, Snoop Dogg and N'Sync. He has since gone on to choreograph projects for Beyonce, Fergie, Tom Cruise, Queen Latifah, Nicole Scherzinger, Ellen DeGeneres, Outkast, Toni Braxton, Tyrese Gibson and Gloria Estefan.

His choreography credits include feature films "Alvin and the Chipmunks," "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel," "Step Up," "Beauty Shop," "Vanilla Sky," "Garfield: The Movie" and "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties." Additionally, he has choreographed major commercial projects for Volkswagen, Target and Sprint.

Most recently McCoy choreographed the Disney Channel Original Movie "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," a concert tour for Jonas Brothers with special guest Demi Lovato and their friends from "Camp Rock," and MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew."

He enjoys all types of music and counts the work of noted choreographer Barry Lather, Gene Kelly, Janet Jackson among his inspirations. He still frequents Los Angeles dance clubs at least three times per week to keep up with the younger generation of evolving dancers.

His two sons, Emil and Eric, have followed in their father's creative footsteps, becoming a musician and writer, respectively. To wind down after a busy day, McCoy enjoys listening to sound scapes in his Los Angeles home.

CHLŌD, Assistant Choreographer

Chlōd is the assistant choreographer on the dance-driven Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up" and, with her passion for the arts, has intertwined her musicality and unique dance style to create young, energetic choreography.

Born Claude Racine, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she moved to the United States with her family when she was a young girl. She had her first dance lesson at the age of 8.

Chlōd began her professional dance career with a scholarship to The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. She set out to pursue dance as a career and began working and appearing in music videos for bands including Blink 182 and Azul Violeta. She was also cast in the musical "The Ten Commandments" which debuted at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

Perhaps the biggest turning point in her career so far has been the opportunity to perform in the Pussycat Dolls Lounge as a member of the dance troupe's Las Vegas revue. It was there that she caught the eye of choreographer and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, who cast Chlōd in the music video for the group's hit single "Don't Cha."

In 2005, Chlōd began focusing on her passion for singing and was selected as one of the lead singers in the vocal group Soccx which released two top-10 singles in Germany. Chlōd returned to the United States to pursue a solo music career, but landed a dancing role in a nationwide tour with recording artist Corbin Bleu ("High School Musical") instead. As luck would have it, that tour subsequently led to an introduction to music producers Chay Alexander Wright and Chad Wright, who have been working with Chlōd to record and develop a new solo album.

Among her choreography credits is "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam."

She resides in Los Angeles.

JESSICA REPLANSKY, Costume Designer

Jessica Replansky is the costume designer on the dance-driven Disney Channel comedy series "Shake It Up." Through wardrobe, she expresses the vibrant personalities of the individual characters and creates a colorful palette to showcase the youthful dance atmosphere in the series.

Replansky began her career as a costume coordinator on the set of one of the most fashion-forward television series of all time, "Sex and the City." Under the guidance of visionary costume designer Patricia Field, Replansky learned how to mix fabrics and patterns to create a truly unique yet cohesive look for each character. When the award-winning series moved to the big screen with "Sex and the City: The Movie" and then again with "Sex and the City 2," Replansky joined as the assistant costume designer and helped propel the fashion to new heights.

Her other feature film credits include the similarly fashion-focused movies "The Devil Wears Prada," starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and "Confessions of a Shopaholic," starring Isla Fisher.

In 2006, Replansky signed on to assist veteran costume designer Eduardo Castro on the ABC series "Ugly Betty," where she helped dress the uber-stylish women and men of the fictional fashion magazine Mode. She also styled both leading ladies of the hit series, America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams, for their respective Entertainment Weekly cover shoots. Moving from the world of high fashion to the world of suburban doldrums, Replansky showed her range as the costume designer on the NBC comedy series "Kath & Kim."

She has worked on numerous commercials for such high-profile companies as Vidal Sassoon and Payless and as a consulting stylist; she helped create the look of CW's promotional campaign for the new series "Hellcats" and "Nikita."

Replansky was born in Rhinebeck, New York. She attended Boston University where she met her husband Matt Fusfeld, a writer on the animated comedy series "American Dad." Currently, she and her husband reside in Los Angeles.
